I think it sounds nice, but I honestly think people get blinded by the price.

Both are pretty much "the standard" and you have heard them both a million times and probably didn't even know it (including both the real deal and the plugins.) If you plan on monitoring while recording with them, forget about the Valhalla. If I could only have one I would probably go with either the 480L or the EMT140.
